Later on yesterday night…
I had to conduct trials on the plasma cutter. as a safety procedure, I checked the supply on all three phases after the power came back at 10:30 PM. I already had fixed all the connections of the machine. Ther receiver tank was charged with air. I turned on the MCN and the machine. I took a trial on 20 Amps and 100 V arc voltage. I used a scrap sheet of MS 0.8 mm thick for trial purpose.
For trial, I cut a square from the Shape library in the controller. The plasma cutters CNC controller is of SteelTailor make. It is a Portable XY CNC plotter. It has shape library builtin which has 24 different shapes ready to cut. I Started cutting. The machine performed well. The cut was smooth with less slag produce. I have to practice managing Current and Speed of cutting.
While checking the voltages I found out that all 3 phase is 356 V. I reported this immediately to RVS Team. THe rated supply required for the machine is 440 V. This excess voltage can damage the machine. Hence we need to get the supply reduced to 440 V.
RVS Team later on today’s call suggested us to buy a Stabiliser to reduce and stabilize the supply voltage. The stabilizer will be safe for the machine to operate smoothly.
Updates comming soon…
