INTRODUCTION :

A solar water heating system is a tool that uses solar energy to assist in heating water. This energy is entirely unrestricted. Water heating is accomplished using solar energy (sun rays). 60–80 °C is an easy temperature range for water to be heated

Solar water heaters are non-polluting and save electricity, which saves money at a time when electricity prices are rising and supply is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Given that they are installed on the roof, solar water heaters are safer than electric geysers.

Sunlight is utilized to heat water in solar water heaters. It mostly comprises of

1.A solar collector with evacuated tubes that is mounted on the roof with stand.

2.A hot water storage tank.

PROCESS FLOW CHART :

According to process flow chart we have to understand that the working of the ETC Tubes of solar water heater. An open vacuum tube is used in these heat tubes. The inner vacuum tube is really filled with water, which is internally heated by the sun (just like liquid in a thermos). Warm water rises to the top of the tube and fills the collector because it is lighter than cold water. In order to replace the heated water and be reheated by the sun, the heavier cold water sinks to the bottom of the vacuum tube. Thermos phoning is the name for this phenomenon in nature.

Since there is no expensive copper piping required for this type of heating system, open tubes are the most economical option. The drawback is that they can only be utilized in open loop systems that are atmospherically controlled. pressure. Since water flows directly into the tubes, applications like heating swimming pools are appropriate for this kind of solar water heater.

Only applications above freezing should make use of this kind of solar collector. Although they are capable of withstanding minor pressures, they shouldn’t be utilized in pressure systems, which are present in the majority of closed loop applications, including household hot water and space heating.
