SELCO Solar Products Installation

In the month of January, we have installed the solar operated products in Vigyan Ashram supported by SELCO India.

Benefits:
A solar or PV Inverter needs very little maintenance and will produce sun-based energy over a significant lot. They help to save your electricity bills.
Inverter can make your home/Organization more energy efficient and add overall value to your property. In this way, your home/ Organization will be more alluring and of greater value.
It reduces the carbon pollution which is beneficial for the environment.
Day or night, solar Inverters are designed to work flawlessly all year round without any dependence from the power grid.
As this is a hybrid system, we can use it on AC supply when absence of sunlight in rainy season.

Standard Operating Procedure:
To start on Off Grid i.e. operate on Solar PV system MCB installed on inverter for AC input must be turned off.
When we required AC supply for battery charging then the system must be switched to ON Grid by operating selector switch.
Ensure that only two machines in workshop should be use at same time.
Only authorized persons are allowed to use this system / if you required to use system take training from authorized person

3. Solar (DC) Refrigerator

Low energy consumption than AC powered refrigerator.
In remote areas with erratic electric supply, these refrigerator turn out to be much more reliable than traditional electric refrigerator.
Day or night, solar refrigerators are designed to work flawlessly all year round without any dependence from the power grid.
Solar fridges generally operate on only 12v/24v, instead of higher dangerous voltages.

Avoid wear and tear of Aluminium foil inside the fridge.
Do not store hot substances directly in the fridge, let t be cool and then store.
Handle with care.
Make sure that door is completely closed.
Make sure the battery is charged by seeing the solar charge controller.
Maintain the battery acid level every month.
Follow all the required instruction as per practice.

4. Solar Milking Machine

Make sure whether battery is fully charged by seeing on charge controller.
Then turn on the main power switch.
Operate the machine per practice.
At the time of fitting the cups on cow’s udder make sure that turn off the air pressure valve once it is attached to the udder then turn on.
As soon as milking over’s turn off the air pressure valve and slowly remove cups from the udder
After milking process before opening cap of container wait for pressure to be released from container.

6. Solar Water Pump

As compared to conventional water pumps, the solar water pumps require very low maintenance
Solar water pumps have less moving parts than other water pumps so the chances of deterioration are very few
As there is a reduced dependence on electricity and fuel, issues like power cuts, low voltage and single-phase problems do not affect the functioning of solar water pumps at all.
In remote areas with erratic electric supply, these pumps turn out to be much more reliable than traditional electric pumps.
Other water pumps (diesel or propane-based) create noise and air pollution, whereas the solar water pumps are environment-friendly as they do not require any fuel to operate.
As these solar water pumps are powered by the traditional source of energy, they do not release any harmful substances that can cause serious issues like Global warming.

Ensure sufficient water level in the tank otherwise pomp will not start and will show error on drive display as Dry run detected.
Solar Panels must be cleaned with soft cotton cloth in between every 15 days.
Start the pump between sun hours, generally between 11am- 3:30pm.
Ensure the delivery valve is opened before starting the pump.
Only allocated person should operate the pump with care.
