e-Yantra Program Coordination
From 21st to 25rd September 2025, Vigyan ashram hosted a program with e-Yantra students from various colleges, organized by IIT Bombay and IIT Pavaye under the e-Yantra competition.
My Role
- I worked as a coordinator for one of the student groups. My responsibilities included:
- Arranging farmer visits for students.
- Bridging the language gap between farmers and students.
- Guiding students during the interaction and design thinking process.
- Supporting them in identifying farmers’ problems and assets.
- Farmer Visits Organized
Students visited and interacted with the following farmers from Pabal region:
- Machindra Zodge – Jamun cultivation.
- Mr. Chetan – Custard apple cultivation.
- Raja Mama – Open farming and multiple cropping practices.
Objective of Visits
- Understand local farming practices.
- Interact directly with farmers to know their challenges and needs.
- Apply the design thinking process to identify solutions.
- Learn about practical agriculture assets and resource use.
Outcome
The students gained first-hand exposure to real farming challenges and developed ideas to solve them through innovative approaches. As coordinator, I contributed by ensuring smooth interaction, clear communication, and proper guidance.
