Flood and Drain System

Flood and drain systems involve periodic flooding and draining of fluid. When fluid flowing over a certain limit then flood occurs and when fluid comes back to reservoir then drain occurs.

Working of system:

Reservoir placed below this container which is full of fluid.it contains pump, timer, air pump and drain pipe. Timer controls fluid pumping cycle. The submersible fountain pump starts pumping fluid  which works on timer. fluid pumps up into the container until the timer off. This prevents fluid  from spilling out of the reservoir. When the timer goes off, water drains back into the reservoir through the drain pipe. sometime air pump is also used in the reservoir. when water level in the container increases air level decreases and vice versa.it means that the flood and drain system works on pressure difference.
