INTRODUCTION

Project was assigned to me on the same day of the meeting with Kulkarni sir, Ranjeet Sir, Prasad Sir and Mahesh Sir on 26/10/2023. Also the Project was related to my M.Tech Specialization department Farm Machinery and Power so I’m working on it individually

DESCRIPTION

Firstly, Project was assigned to Rushikesh Devmore was Inter at Vigyan Ashram. He met the Farmer Machindra Zhodage and asked some problems related to harvesting of the jamun. He collected the information from farmer that was their
requirements, their tractor information, What kind of machine they want. All of this I read on his blog.

Now, my task was to discuss with sir about that and take project ahead. But as on same day 26/10/2023. I got information that tractor operated hydraulic ladder was already made in Dapoli University as I searched the research paper regarding this and also, I got some information about. so, we discussed in meeting output for that was to I have to visit Dapoli and see machine and its working and is it suitable for us as farmer requirement.

On same day I meet Ranjeet Sir and Tried to get contact for the visit. We got the contact of the shahare sir who is HOD of the FMP department. sir gave me contact and said to contact him.

I was going to visit Dapoli on 10/11/2023 so for the actual problem finding and interaction with Machindra Zhodage I and Pranay, we both visited to their farm. Information i got that was similar to blog by Rushikesh but I interacted with them and visited that place physically, that’s my responsibility to see the field as I’m working on it.

I called Shahare sir and confirmed that he is free to meet me on 10/11/2023 in Dapoli for that Hydraulic lift. Also, I got some information that Nilesh Shirsat that he currently working on the same project that was going to see.

In between the period from project assigned to me. I was searching and reading research paper regarding this project and working on the chilli dryer project with Ritesh.

I Meet Shahare sir in Dapoli, he has taken some printout regarding that machine for which i was gone there. He gave information regarding that machine and shown some working videos of the machine.

Then I went to the workshop where the machine is and seen the machine. Unfortunately, Machine was not in working condition may from years. But have taken some pictures of that machine with permission of Chougule sir who gave me information about machine.

  1. Costing : 5.20 lakhs (Not Confirmed) in 2015-16.
  2. Working Height : 9m (29.5ft).
  3. Tractor hp : 35hp (30hp PTO Power)
  4. Hydraulic Pump working on tactor PTO required 2-3 hp power.
  5. Lifting capacity : 200kg (Mainly for Coconut Harvesting)

After that I met Shirsat sir who is currently working on the same project for PhD. He told that if I want to see machine, I can meet him at MIDC Shiroli where the actually machine is going to manufacture. and also, he said that he will share some working videos of the old machine that would be good reference for me because machine I saw was not in working condition. On same day I returned home.

I meet Shirsat Sir in Shiroli MIDC,Kolhapur. I saw the machine there and taken some Pictures and as he said he shared some working videos of the previous machine. and collected information and picture below.

  1. Costing : 6 lakhs until now.
  2. Working Height : 6m (19 ft).
  3. Tractor hp : 18hp (14hp PTO power)
  4. Hydraulic Pump working on tactor PTO required 2-3 hp power.
  5. Lifting capacity : 200kg (Mainly for Mango Harvesting and spraying)

Machine attached to tractor and some fitting are left like Reservior tank and other.

Support was added for transport purpose and for maintaining balance while working.

Front support was added for the resting of the working arms of lift.

In discussion with Ranjeet Sir,Prasad Sir, Mahesg Sir,I showed the report I prepared on Dapoli visit, we dicussed on the information I got in dapoli. we concluded that this mechanism cannot be adapted as it is for our machine that is jamun harvesting hydraulic lift.because it do not have more workingspace for the machine. so I suggest to make the scissor lift working on hydraulic. All agreed to it. and aslo dicussed about the pricing because this both machines are out of the fund that farmer going to invest.

Task after Discussion:

  1. To meet farmer and show them the machine and convience him for compromise with height or increase the funds.
  2. contact with Anil Gosavi sir and Anil Gadhe regarding scissor lift design and pricing.

Visited to Machindra Zhodage regarding hydraulic lift and discussed with him about the information about hydraulic lift. Also told him about the costing of the hydraulic lift. According to their budget the cost was high. I told him about the other option also but we have to comprise at any of them in between height of lift or in cost.
