INTRODUCTION OF VIGYAN ASHRAM

This is the first day of our in Vigyan Ashram and we did a tour of Ashram.
WORKSHOP:
In the workshop, we observed so many things made by Vigyan Ashram’s students
A) COMPOSTER: kitchen waste 16-17 kg, compost waste in 30-45 days
B) FUTURE INNOVATION SYSTEM:
C) DOME TYPE STRUCTURE: head fan, contain 5 trays
D) WASTE MANAGEMENT UNIT:
E) TOOL: CNC Cutting Machine – 3×15m bed, Plasma – 5mm thickness metal.
F) DRILLING MACHINE : To cut a round hole into or through metal, Plastic, Wood or other solid material.
G) INVERTER – Batteries
H) LATHE MACHINE : Shaping drilling, sanding, turning, cutting and deformation.
I) BENCH VICE : Essential and integral tools are used in metal working wood working.
J) BENDING MACHINE : To assemble a bend on a workpiece . A bending tool during a linear or rotating move.

MONOFAB: Electronic micro laser, Carpentory tools, casing
FISH FEEDING UNIT: Solar Bubbler is used to oxygen for fish.
HYDROPONICS: For irrigating vegetables without soil
HYACINTH: This is aquatic plant which maintain oxygen level
SOLAR PANEL: collect sunlight and convert it into electricity

On the second day, Survana mam took lecture of all us and told us about the blog. She also told us how to log in Vigyan Ashram blog website, how to set featured image, how to set profile picture, how to publish the written blog. she told us that she will given log in username and password later.
LECTURE ON EMPATHIZE BY PRATHMESH SIR
In the afternoon session, Prathamesh Sir took our lecture on the topic of Design Thinking Process. He told us about the five factors of design thinking process: 1)Empathize
2)Define
3)Ideate
4)Prototype
5)Test.
On that day, he took lecture on what is empathize. From that lecture, we learn that what is actual empathy is. Empathy is just a feeling of happiness, sadness or excitement in the group of people they all feel at that same moment. Empathy is a thinking first step of any innovation. If we want to make any tool, we think about the judgement, biases and assumptions that all come into empathy.

Discussion with Prasad Sir About Project
Prasad sir gave me a project about renewable energy in which he told to read the blog of interns related to solar energy and solar panel. Also told me to find information about appliances running on solar energy in the Vigyan Ashram.
For getting information, I read the blog of Shrikant Dhudhane , Rohan Chavan and Shehal Chavan.

By reading blog I come to know that solar appliances in Vigyan Ashram
A) SOLAR DOME DRYER:
- No. of trays – 5 trays
- It is in dome shape because of maximum surface area exposed to sun and drying process get faster
- loading capacity – 1.2 m2 diameter size with 5m2 loading area. 25 kg pomegranate arils and 10 to 12 kg leafy vegetables
According to project in the blog,
1) Chickoo – takes 8 days to dehydrate
6 kg chickoo after dehydration remains 600gm
2) okra – 4 to 5 to dry
3) Mango Slice – takes 8 days
4) Banana – takes 4 days
5 kg banana remains 500gm after dahydration
B) SOLAR PANEL:
On the top of the memorial hall, there are two sets of solar panel are installed.
Each set contains 10 panel
Capacity of solar panel is 6.5kW
Solar panel power generates 32kW/day for 20 panels.
C) Solar Refrigerator :
In the kitchen of Vigyan Ashram, solar refrigerator is available.
D) Solar powered Air Bubbling System:
Use: 1. to maintain the oxygen level in water
2. to reduce No. of mosquitoes, prevent fish from dying
3. to prevent water from smelling

Preparation of bed for Spinach ( पालक)
So we made four beds out of which we put fertilizer in 2 beds.
Sow a total of 200 gms of spinach ( पालक)
