Pipeline Layout of Vigyan Ashram

Firstly, for the layout we saw the starting to ending point of the pipeline with the help of Jadhav sir and Bhanudas sir. Then we count the total number of valves, tanks and motors which are installed on pipes. After the all observations we draw the all pipeline layout on drawing sheet.

Project work

I showed the pipeline on the sheet in different colour with the help of pen and pencil. I also showes the valve on the sheet.

On that week I re-measured the entire pipeline dimensions and i sketched out all layout on the sheet. Then I measured pipe diameters with the help of vernier caliper. So I collect all rough data on the notebook.

I discussed with Sir and then the objectives were decided and those objectives are as follows :

  1. To study complexity of pipeline of Vigyan Ashram.
  2. Reducing human efforts and time.
  3. Appropriate fitting regarding storages, usages and locations.

In order to understand the problem, I met Jadhav Sir and Aditya two people.Jadhav Sir is already in charge of all the pipeline works here.So they know a lot about the pipeline. So they told me a lot of problems about it. And now Aditya is working on it.And he also told me some problems.

At the time of problem discussion

The problems are as follows :

  1. The water in the drinking water tank does not rise and it takes time to fill it.
  2. Ashram water flows to the Grapanchayat line.
  3. The pump is of low hp, water is reduced.
  4. There is a problem turning the valve on and off
  5. What to do to bring water in from outside without bringing water tanker in the ashram.
  6. It takes time to fill a tank of DIC hostel.
  7. Gram Panchayat water valve is not working properly.
  8. When the water rises in the water tank, it is not clear whether the tank is full or not .
  9. If flexible pipe is installed then water is wasted from it.
  10. Drinking water in dream house is wasted.
  11. How to watering road side trees.

Then in that design I gave different colors according to the inches of the pipe. eg blue color for ½ inches, red color for 1 inch, green color for 1½ inch, pink color for 2 Inch And yellow color for 2½ inch. This is how I have shown the pipe color in the design.

Conclusion :

1.Installation of non return valve to prevent water from entering the Gram Panchayat line.

2.Installing a valve on the outside of the gate to bring the water of the tanker to the aashrm from outside the gete.
