Fab16 challenge is an opportunity to learn and experience a lot of things including the design thinking approach, 3D Designing, rapid prototyping, fabrication, team collaboration, presentation, and many more. The challenge of Dynamic Hand Othrosis creating problem defining, ideation, and rapid prototyping.
The previous work done by Mr. Prathmesh Darwade on Forearm ( http://vadic.vigyanashram.blog/existing-exoskeleton-and-mechanisms/ )
We already made a prototype for Forearm but now we need to shift to the next upcoming part that is the shoulder joint.
DAY 1: EMPATHIZE (11th August, 2021)
- Finding the pain points of the users.
DAY 2: IDEATION (12th Aug, 2021)
Individual team members come with different ideas and by arranging brainstorming sessions we zero down with one of the most suitable ideas for the challenge.
- Different Ideas by Team :
- After Brainstorming Session we had selected one idea which was Spiral Spring implementation in prototype
- Next Step was to prepare Sketches and CAD models of the same
DAY 3: Protyping and Testing (13th Aug, 2021)
This phase includes:
- Collection of Material needed
- Preparation of Base Frame
- Upper assembly
- spiral spring mounting
- Fixture support
DAY 4: Final Presentation (14th Aug, 2021)
