So on 3rd August Arun sir gave me the permission to use ‘HEAT PUMP DRYER, I didn’t know what it was. The next day when I got to know the details of the structure it became more interesting, then came a big blow the system’s temperature was rising but was not adjusting as per inputs in the temperature regulator, given we closed the cooler as we didn’t need that.
[ reader disclosure- the heat pump dryer was made from scratch in Vigyan Ashram]
Now I became concerned and panicked, first I questioned whether the temperature regulator was working properly or not, it took me 3 videos after which I stumbled on a video named how to install SSR to Selec TC244 (temperature regulator). This one video and once more gave me a new direction to question. Then I left my computer and went and inspected the ‘HEAT PUMP DRYER, it was the 3rd time of inspection. I found something with a copper coil, which turned out to be a Relay, then the question came, what is the used relay in this system. After a successful internet search, I came across general types of the relay, luckily the video also had a short graphical explanation of how relay work-
Commonly used relay is-
- Solid-state relay (used in heaters)
- Electromechanical relay
- Reed relay (used in electronics)
- Thermal relay (to protect motors)
In the system I was working the Electromechanical relay was in use so I started to search where it was applied, luckily the main bridge connection had fat yellow wire which I tracked to the compressor, and conformed to its presence with ppt manual on the system shared by Sanket bro.
Now it was all clear, the heater to start with was not in control, in general, it was closed-circuit all the time, the current supply was always on to the heater coil. This was the reason why even by reducing the temperature on the temperature regulator I was not able to stop temp increase as displayed by the regulator.
Now I need to order an SSR relay and connect it to the system and it should stop the heater coil from overheating.
Now once again I am not an expert in this field so, if you are also in a similar situation I suggest google and give it 2-4 hr and you may get the solution.
When it comes to the temp regulator it also gave little problem but its manual was enough to bring the clarity of how to use it.
