A trial on drying apparatus was conducted on 20th September after Dr.Subir Bhaduri’s visit. The details are as follows.

Substrate: Tomato

Trial duration: 30 minutes. (Forced convection)

Initial Weight: 16.63 gram

Final weight: 15.31 gram

Problems with the apparatus:

Following observations were made during the trial:

  1. In the absence of a substrate, the weighing scale showed a value between -7 to -9 gram.
  2. When the apparatus was loaded with a substrate weighing 16.63 gram. The recorded data showed fluctuations in the weight between 9.12 gram to 16.03 gram.
