An infrared thermometer is a thermometer which infers temperature from a portion of the thermal radiation sometimes called black body radiation emitted by the object being measured.

Procedure :

- Measure the peanut and fill in the drum roster, close the door.
- Adjust the Scheffler focus point and concentration toward the drum roaster.
- start the motor and also measure the ambient temperature.
- then take a reading of drum roster temperature after an equal time interval.
