PROBLEM STATEMENT:

The problems occur when the drum was not working (drum not rotating). That time concentrated the focus of the Scheffler is fall on the drum roster Rubber belt. sometime after temperature will reach more than 200 c Rubber belt was burning.

When the belt was heated by concentrated sun focus because of heating the belt lent will be increase and slip will accur.

DISCUSSION :

After discussion there are two solution come out

  1. closed central door with the help of solid material ( MS PLATE )
  2. To make a safety guard cover of the external side of the belt.
  3. finally, we will select the second option to make a belt safety guard cover because the probability to door open some time or forgotten to close it .

MATERIAL SELECTION :

  1. The requirement of materials is high heat reflecting surface, high heat Transfer capacity and sustain at 250 ^ c for 6 hours.
  2. We select the general aluminium type material but the price of the is 3 times more than the other MS materials.
  3. The current price of the General aluminium type 1 MM thick is about 190 rs per KG and mild steel price is 61 rs per KG. At the time the mild steel material will full fill the requirement of the object.

FABRICATION METHODOLOGY :

  1. First measure all dimension for the necessary of the design of belt safety cover.
  2. Cut the mild steel sheet as per requirement of the dimension.
  3. Bend the mild steel sheet with the help of sheet metal bending machine.
  4. an upper circular portion of the sheet metal circular bend with the mallet.
