Objective: – To design chopper for composter.
Material: – Power cutter, GI pipe, iron sheet, welding machine, paint and grinder.
Procedure: –
1. Firstly the GI pipe of 25 mm diameter was taken of length 130.5 cm and cut it as per dimension with power cutter.
2. For blades of the chopper the iron sheet of 2 mm thick was taken and cut it with dimension 22 cm x 11 cm by using cutter grinder
3. Then one blade having spike teeth of 2 cm length and 1.5 cm of height were cut with help of cutter grinder.
4. The blades were grinded with grinder.
5. Then the both blades edges were sharpened on bench grinder.
6. The grooves of 5 cm were made on the pipe as well as on blades for fixing the blades into the pipe. The grooves were made with help of cutter grinder.
7. After the blades are fitted into each other and in pipe grooves.
8. Then the blades and pipe was welded with welding machine.
9. The fabricated chopper was then painted with primer and the next day with color.
