Window Grill Design

We got welding as 2nd assignment. When sir speaks, you prepare different stools. After that I spoke to Anil sir from the workshop about this issue. So he said that he needs a grill for the window of the ongoing construction in his ashram. Make it yourself, and discuss this with Prasad sir. After that, the dimensions of the window were taken and the rough design of the grill was drawn. And the design was created by taking the dimensions of the window. Then took to draw the design in solid work.

Design completed in solid work. But if we wanted to calculate the cost for that design, it was calculated in this way:

Flat Patti :

Volume: 2200655.35 mm^3

Net Weight: V*D = 2200655.35* 10^-9* 7860 = 17.297 kg

Side Flat Patti :

Volume: 34200 mm^3 * 10^-9* 7860 = 0.268 kg

Length: volume/ Area = 2234855.35/ 100 = 22348mm = 23m

L Angle:

Vertical L Angle: 110445.92mm^3 * 2 = 220891.84mm^3

Horizontal L Angle = 158224 * 2 = 316448mm^3

Total Volume: 537339.84mm^3

Net Weight: V*D = 537339.84* 10^-9* 7860 = 4.2235 kg

Length: 4.632m

Mahesh sir looked at all our designs and the cost of that design and discussed it.

Discussed with Dixit sir and Anil sir about the design of grill. In that, we wanted to convince how our design is useful. No one liked design sir in that. They wanted design creative. Then we created another design together.

Project was reviewed by everyone in DIC. And then Anil sir called me. And he showed me a design, and said that I want a similar design. Then I took equal dimensions and drew a rough design.

Separate part of the given design is drawn in solid work. After that the assembly of that part was done.

Showed the design to Prasad sir, then also showed it to Anil sir. Then the prepare the bill of material and given to Jadhav sir.

I went to the village to order material for the grill. Then the material was cut. I explained to Jadhav sir how much gap there would be in the welding of the grill.

16/10/2024 –22/10/2024

I brought some remaining material and after that I was doing bending.Bending took three days. After that the flat strip is framed and given a drill hole. Then Anil sir showed the grill and made some corrections in it. Then according to the dimensions the square bar of the vertical line was taken to be welded. Then the bar of the horizontal line was cut and welded.

Finished welding the remaining square bar.

Those who have done square bar welding want to grade it, the welding will look good.But due to excessive grading, the ti welding broke, then I did welding on it again.
