3D PRINTING WORKSHOP.

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a method of creating a three dimensional object layer-by-layer using a computer created design. 3D printing is an additive process whereby layers of material are built up to create a 3D part.

for what and whom...?

Conducted a 3D printing session for the 14-year-old kids at Shri Ramrao Genuji Palande Residential High School in Mukhai (8th std). The students learned both developing and implementing the design throughout this session, which lasted for a week.

The programme covered every aspect of printing, including account creation on Tinkercad for designing and printing the design.

Learn 3d printing step by step.

  1. The first step in 3D printing is to develop a design using any software; this phase was taught using the designing programme Tinkercad. Students used Tinkercad to create an original and creative 3D design that is new and suitable for 3D printing.
  2. In the second step students learnt how to export the intended file type as a .stl and open that file in any slicing programme, such as fracktory. Later, children understood the idea of slicing an object in any slicing software and providing the printed object any infill pattern with infill density.

Each and every student should learn 3D printing with designing the object. The main moto of this workshop was to step up the knowledge of children by teaching them 3D printing.

Many of the students showed their interest in this session.

the

end-up of workshop….

  • The last lesson covered the fundamentals of operating a 3D printer to produce any planned object while explaining printer machine settings and temperature control.
  • The kids discovered new things during this session that they had never known before.
  • We had a wonderful and fantastic session in this one-week workshop on 3D printing.
