Introduction
Soil testing is an important process used to determine the nutrient content and chemical properties of soil.
This project is about testing soil using the Prerana Soil Testing Kit and Titration Method.
It helps to measure important soil parameters like pH, Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), Organic Carbon (OC), and Electrical Conductivity (EC).
Soil testing helps farmers understand soil fertility and decide the correct amount of fertilizers for better crop growth.
Objective
To determine important soil nutrients and properties.
To understand soil fertility using scientific methods.
To learn how to use the Prerana Soil Testing Kit and titration method for soil analysis.
Materials :
Prerna Soil Testing Kit
Soil sample
Distilled water
Test tubes / beaker
Droppers
Reagents (from kit)
Filter paper
Measuring spoon
16 February – 8 March
Procedure / Steps :
Dry the soil and remove stones and unwanted materials.
Take the required quantity of soil in the test tube.
Add chemicals from the Prerana Soil Testing Kit according to instructions.
Shake or mix the solution properly.
Observe the color change and compare it with the chart provided in the kit.
For some parameters, perform the titration method to get accurate values.
Record the results for pH, N, P, K, OC, and EC.
Conclusion (Soil Testing Project)
In this project, soil testing was carried out using the Prerana Soil Testing Kit and titration method. The test helped determine important soil parameters such as pH, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Organic Carbon, and Electrical Conductivity.
These results help understand soil fertility and guide proper fertilizer use for better crop production.
