Reference Images of Our BSF Breeding Setup
Intro images of the actual place and references. Black Soldier Flies (Hermetia illucens) are important for waste management and animal feed. They can efficiently turn organic waste into a high-protein feed source. To better understand and show the life cycle of these flies, I created a detailed 3D model of a breeding container. This model shows each stage of their life in a controlled environment. It helps in presentations and provides a practical guide for improving breeding conditions. This paper will discuss the design, use, and benefits of the 3D model in Black Soldier Fly farming.
CAD Model Development
The starting of cad model and the measurements I’m using, also focusing on simplifying the structure. I created the 3D model of the Black Soldier Fly breeding container using CAD software, focusing on accuracy and detail. I took all the measurements carefully to make sure the model matches the actual breeding setup. Right now, I’m concentrating on including all the important parts and features of the container, without rendering it yet. This approach makes the model a precise and complete representation of the real thing, helping to understand and improve breeding practices.
Initial Rendering
The next step in the development of the 3D model involves rendering and adding color to enhance its visual appeal. The first versions some corrections were required as some modifications were made to the actual place like foggers and lights also the door placement. I plan to apply colors that reflect the actual materials and environment of the breeding container, ensuring the model is not only accurate but also visually engaging.
Rendering and Aesthetic Enhancements
These are the final renders I’ve made with all the changes and lighting to make the renders more dynamic. this is an open view to make the insides more visible. Additionally, I will incorporate elements such as trees and bushes around the container to give the model a complete and realistic feel. These aesthetic enhancements will help in creating a more immersive and relatable representation, making it easier for viewers to visualize the breeding environment in its natural context. This detailed and lifelike presentation will further aid in communicating the practical aspects of Black Soldier Fly farming.
Final Renders and Presentation
This is the final structure with the roof. The roofing extends over the box beside to protect from rain. In the final stage, I produced high-resolution renders with ambient lighting to enhance the scene’s overall visual quality. The model now includes a roof to cover the top, providing a complete view of the breeding container. I used shades of blue for the shed to convey a hygienic feel, as it will store food waste for decomposition. The added trees and bushes, along with the carefully chosen lighting, create a beautiful and realistic presentation. These stunning renders not only showcase the practical design but also highlight the aesthetic aspects, making the model both informative and visually appealing.
