it is an organic matter that has been decomposed in a process called composting.composting is natural biological process.carried out under controlled aerobic condition.in this process ,various microorganisms ,including bacteria and fungi,breakdown organic matter into simpler substance depend upon enviromental conditions present within ecosystem like oxygen,temperature,moisture etc.
Uses:
it is rich in nutrient.
it provide growing medium.
it increases plant Immunity and dieses pests.
objectives of composting:
obtain a quality compost to be used as an organic matter that improve soil fertility. Solid waste management also.
to stop the desertification process and capture carbon in soil.
content used in composting:
50 % green matter like kitchen waste green vegetable trimming and peel.
50% brown matter like shredded paper,cardboard,leaves,sawdust.
it required same quantity of culture as waste.
parameter required for composting:
it has 50% opening for proper aeration.
it required 50-60% humidity for proper composting.
it required 65-70c temperature .
for proper composting required 10 to 12 days.
We have add water when required or when moisture is
s reduced it is below 45% as required.to much water can cause the compost pile to go anareobic and emit odour too little will prevent the michrooraganisms from propogating.

in this process we have mix culture and waste with the help of mixing drum but not mix properly due to all waste not in same size.then again we mix manually. In this trial we had 1:1 proportion of culture and waste.

conclusion : In vertical composter we have add total 35.732 kg waste and culture having same quantity i.e 1:1 proportion after 9 to 10 days we get 19 kg compost as fertilizer.

conclusion:
for vertical composter:(90% opening):
in this we have first gave 50% culture and waste also i.e 1:1 proporation having 90% opening then we have get better result and require 12 days for composting.
for fold type composter:(50 % opening):
in this we have gave 50 % culture and 50 % waste i.e 1:1 proporation then we have get proper compost in 6 to 7 days. but we can change proporation i.e 2:3 then we require much time i.e 10 to 12 days
hence we conclude that we get more time for composting in 90% opening than 50 % because both have different aeration.then 50 % opening bags are preferable than 90% .
