Objective:

The electricity cut problem occurs much time so I decided to use solar energy in the daytime. A solar panel added to dryer and electricity will be used as a backup in daytime.

Procedure:

The batch started on 11th JAN’19. The procedure followed as follows;

  1. I had taken 3.5 kg sawdust.
  2. Then I had mixed 11-liter water in sawdust.
  3. Then the mixture kept as it is for half an hour.
  4. After that, I did the weight of it.
  5. I took 10 gm sample for LOD.
  6. Then I evenly distributed wet sawdust on each plate. As follows, Plate One- 1 kg, Plate Two- 1.5 kg, Plate Three- 2 kg, Plate Four- 2.4 kg, Plate Five-2.6 kg, Plate Six- 2.6 kg.
  7. Noted down the time when the batch was loaded.
  8. I took samples from the south and north side of each plate. After every six hour from the batch loaded in daytime.

Conclusion:

The solar panel added. But the drying rate reduced. It took more time to dry.

Next Plan:

Minimize drying time and maintain temperature and humidity for better drying.
